Shaun started playing guitar and banjo while in elementary school, but his first bluegrass show came unexpectedly. It was when two of his young musician friends knocked upon his door. When Shaun was first asked to play banjo for a familiar group called the Bluegrass Upstarts he declined, but after some convincing found himself on the stage of the Smokey Greene Festival.. That, was the beginning of his bluegrass career. Since that day he has been seen playing banjo, bass or guitar for some of the leading bands of the Northeast, such as Dyer Switch, Northern Blend and Thunder Mountain Bluegrass.

After having been entertaining for the past 18 years, Shaun has decided to play guitar and help lead Acoustic Blue. Not only has it been said that Shaun brings a touch of class to the band, but also an impeccable rhythm guitar. Shaun has been voted one of the top guitar players of the Northeast and is known for his rock solid guitar drive. His style of guitar playing has been compared to Carter Stanley, Jimmy Martin, and Del McCoury.
